Welcome to a delicious tasting in two parts, with inspiration from the fascinating world of mushrooms! Chemical engineer and mushroom consultant Lena Engelmark Embertsén from Högtorp gård will be your guide. Lena promises a tasty journey into the mushroom kingdom.

During the first part, you will get an introduction to the history of edible fungi, how they have been used historically and how they are prepared and eaten today. You will learn about different mushroom species, how you can find them or grow them yourself. We also take a closer look at different techniques for storing mushrooms and extracting their flavors.

In part two, there will be a tasting workshop where we explore different species, cooking techniques and get tips on tasty and unusual appetizers such as mushroom caviar, mushroom herring “svill” and mushroom soy. We will also taste the drinks chaga and kombucha.

It will be an evening focusing on deepening one’s knowledge as well as learning more about tastes and textures. There will also be time for Q&A!

The ticket price also includes entrance to the museum’s exhibitions, which are open until 21:00. Before and after the conversation, Bistro Nobel offers a special Friday menu with well-selected small dishes, suitable wines, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. The bistro is also open until 21:00.
