Discover this year’s Nobel Prize laureate(s) in literature just hours after the announcement. Listen to some of those who were involved in making the decision talk about the author(s) and the texts and give you their best reading tips.

Selecting a laureate in literature is not easy. The Nobel Committee of the Swedish Academy chooses among the foremost writers of our age. Their choices are often surprising, sometimes controversial and always interesting.

This conversation provides a unique insight into how the members thought and reasoned this year when they read, discussed and finally agreed on who will be awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature. In addition, they will provide their own tips on how to get to know the work of the laureate(s) in the best way. Freshly selected texts will be read by Danilo Bejarano, an actor in the permanent ensemble at Stockholm’s Royal Dramatic Theatre.

Participating will be members of the Swedish Academy’s Nobel Committee, whose identity is still secret. The conversation (in Swedish) will be moderated by the Nobel Prize Museum’s Carin Klaesson.

Before the conversation, you are welcome to visit the museum’s exhibitions as well as Bistro Nobel, which serves small dishes, bubbly beverages and other goodies. The museum will close after the event, at 19.00.
