How do we humans make decisions? What governs us as individuals and at societal level? The Prize in Economic Sciences is about so much more than money. For example, the prize has been awarded for research on human behaviour, the impact of minimum wages on labour markets, relationships and community building. Last year’s prize was awarded for research on banks and financial crises.

What will this year’s prize be all about? Members of the Economic Sciences Prize Committee will explain about this year’s prize and explain the research behind it. Panellists will be Aino Bunge, Deputy Governor of the Riksbank, and representatives from the Prize Committee. Olof Somell of the Nobel Prize Museum will moderate the discussion.
