As we know, Friday is Nobel Peace Prize day. Who will receive this year’s prize? A lone activist or a political leader? A grassroots organisation or a United Nations agency? Over the years, the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to a broad range of recipients. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why it is so talked about and discussed. In this evening programme, we will converse about the prize that was announced only a few hours earlier, but also about the role of the peace prize in today’s world.

It will be a conversation between Mimmi Söderberg Kovacs – peace and conflict researcher and head of research at the Folke Bernadotte Academy, Jens Orback – executive director of the Global Challenges Foundation and former Secretary General of the Olof Palme International Center, and Gustav Källstrand – Nobel Prize expert and historian. Carin Klaesson of the Nobel Prize Museum will moderate.

Before and after the event, you are welcome to visit the museum’s exhibitions as well as Bistro Nobel, which serves tasty dishes and beverages.
