Welcome to a conversation about the art of translation, a translator’s many considerations and decisions and the final text where nothing of this should be noticeable.

This conversation with Swedish translators Jan Stolpe, Helena Hansson and Jonas Brun will be moderated by Carin Klaesson, from the Nobel Prize Museum. During the night, we are invited to explore the world of translation with examples from Nobel Prize laureates such as Albert Camus, Abdulrazak Gurnah, Toni Morrison and Louise Glück. The conversation will be held in Swedish.

The ticket price also includes entrance to the museum’s exhibitions, which are open until 21:00. Before and after the conversation, Bistro Nobel offers a special Friday menu with well-selected small dishes, suitable wines, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. The bistro is also open until 21:00.

To purchase tickets, see below. Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
