In October each year, a few scientists, authors and peace workers receive a phone call from Stockholm that changes their lives. When they end the conversation and hang up, they have become Nobel Prize laureates.

As this annual ritual begins, the Nobel Prize Museum will take over part of City Hall and provides an exciting introduction to the Nobel Prize, Alfred Nobel and his legendary will. The museum’s educators will lead a workshop on creativity ‒ a character trait that many Nobel Prize laureates have in common.

Why is creativity so important, and how creative are your students? All students who attend the event will also take a school tour of City Hall, the heart of local democracy in the Swedish capital, seeing the place from which Stockholm is governed and where the Nobel Prize laureates are honoured.
