Since 1901, the Nobel Prize in literature has honoured authors who move, challenge and inspire their readers. According to Alfred Nobel’s will, the prize should award authors who have ‘produced the most excellent work in an ideal direction’. How can this be understood today, and how does the Nobel committee choose the laureates?
Welcome to a Friday evening where we delve into the Nobel Prize in literature, exploring the authors and literary works that have shaped our world. Discover why these stories, poems, plays and song lyrics deserve to be honoured with the world’s most prestigious prize.
This evening, we offer a festive offer – the ticket for 210 SEK includes entrance, guided tour and a small taste of the Nobel festivities: a sparkling non-alcoholic beverage and a Nobel Prize medal in chocolate.
