Welcome to Stockholm Culture Night 2025 at the Nobel Prize Museum! We offer a full evening of activities inspired by the exhibition These things changed the world. Join a guided tour, make crafts, play strategy games and enjoy live music. Learn the stories behind the objects in the exhibition and hear how they – in their own way – have helped shape our world. During Culture Night, admission is free, and we stay open until midnight.

Short guided tours

Join short, guided tours where the guides show their favorite objects and tell the stories behind them. The tours are 15 minutes long and start every half hour between 18:15 and 23:15. Every other tour is in Swedish and every other in English.

Strategic gaming corner

Challenge friends and strangers at chess! Get inspired by the chess pieces of chemistry laureate Demis Hassabi, or try the classic Chinese board game Go. The museum’s collection includes a Go board donated by economics laureate Bengt Holmström.

Learn origami

Fold a paper crane for peace or a paper crown worthy of a laureate. In 2017, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) donated a thousand paper cranes to the museum. According to Japanese folklore, whoever folds a thousand cranes can have a wish granted. Last fall, chemistry laureate John Jumper donated a paper crown to the museum’s collection. The paper crown has served as a traveling prize in Jumper’s research group, which works on the structure of protein molecules. Be inspired by the crown and the cranes or fold another imaginative creation.

Poetry collage

Bring out the poet in you and use newspaper clippings to create new poems and images, just like literature laureate Herta Müller. The nail scissors she used for her collages are in the museum’s collection.

Live music

The evening will be accompanied by live music with cellist Johanna Sjunnesson. With her unique musical expression, she moves freely between acoustic and electronic sounds, weaving together tradition and innovation. Curiosity and exploration will be the theme for her performance. Johanna Sjunnesson plays for 15 minutes every half hour between 20:00-22:15

Practical info

No pre-booking is required for any of this evening’s events.

Please note that the museum’s bistro will be closed for renovation during the spring 2025. This means that seating in the museum is limited, and no food or drink will be served.
