Nobel Week Lights 2022

Nobel Week Lights Stockholm is an annual light festival that takes place during Nobel Week in December.

Directly inspired by Nobel Prize-awarded discoveries, works of art illuminate Stockholm’s darkness. The artworks encourage new insights into the research, lives and discoveries of Nobel Prize laureates.

Through Nobel Week Lights, both international and local artists and designers get the opportunity to create large-scale public light artworks. These installations illuminate the Nobel Prize laureates’ important discoveries in new ways, while at the same time giving the audience the opportunity to see the city of Stockholm and the urban environment with new eyes.

Nobel Week Lights is an opportunity for the public to share a high-quality artistic experience with loved ones, completely free of charge. Light plays an important role in how we see the world around us, and Nobel Week Lights aims to highlight topics and places in Stockholm that may have been unknown to the public until now.

Nobel Week Lights is initiated and produced by Annika Levin, Alexandra Manson and Lara Szabo Greisman from Troika AB. The project is done in collaboration with the Nobel Prize Museum and is supported by the City of Stockholm, as well as several public and private partners.
