Caramelised Frida apples, spruce shoots and cream of quince fruit are some of the ingredients of the dessert served at last year’s Nobel Prize banquet.

Meet pastry chef Frida Bäcke, who created the 2024 Nobel dessert. Learn about her creative process and how growing up in Dalarna influenced her choice of flavours.

We delve into the flavours of wild chamomile, tiger nuts, brown butter cake and Swedish punsch liqueur. What made her choose to work with these ingredients?

Enjoy the Nobel dessert served while Frida tells us all about the work behind the scenes and how it’s possible to prepare as many as 1250 desserts to be served at the same time.

The event will take place on the first floor at Grillska Huset, Köpmangatan 15 (across the square from the museum entrance).

Doors open at 17:00, welcome to mingle before the event starts at 18:00. Drinks available for purchase.
