When we exercise, we not only improve our ability to absorb oxygen and strengthen our muscles, but we affect all our organs in some way. There are thus many possible explanations for the cancer-inhibiting effect noted in physically active people.
This live-streamed conversation will enable you to share research findings and the current state of knowledge about how cells, oxygen and exercise are interrelated. It features Helene Rundqvist, researcher at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Karolinska Institutet.
The moderator is Cecilia Odlind, editorial director of the magazine Medicinsk Vetenskap (Medical Science) and host of Karolinska Institutet’s popular science podcast Medicinvetarna.
