Teachers traveling from abroad to Sweden for attending the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2018 will have the possibility to take part in a three-day program arranged by the Nobel Prize Museum. When you register for October 5 you can also register to attend the extended program.

Thursday, October 4, Nobel Prize Museum, Stortorget, Stockholm

8.30-17.00 The democracy mission in the Swedish schools

Introduction, school visits and workshop at the Nobel Prize Museum

All international participants will be welcomed at the Nobel Prize Museum and will receive an introduction about how the democracy mission in the Swedish schools is formulated. Then you will travel in groups to various schools in the Stockholm area, with a clearly formulated assignment to look at how the democracy mission is noticeable in the instruction – even though this instruction is in a language in which you are not fluent. During this visit you will sit in on classes and meet pupils, teachers and school administrators.

Nobel Prize Museum will treat you to breakfast and afternoon coffee. You will eat lunch at the school’s own dining room, an experience in itself.
