December 10 of every year is the Nobel Day − a day dedicated to honouring the year’s Nobel Prize laureates, who have all contributed to the greatest benefit to humankind.
The Nobel Prize Museum hereby invites you to a festive dinner party on the Nobel Day, with a programme inspired by the Nobel Prize banquet. This event will take place in the museum bistro and will feature dishes by chef Sebastian Gibrand, who was responsible for the first course and the main course at the 2019 Nobel Prize banquet.
The evening will begin with an aperitif before we sit down at the table. After that a well-filled programme will unfold, in the spirit of the Nobel Prize, including a conversation between two of the museum’s experts. Chef Sebastian Gibrand will also talk about the process behind his cooking, and there will be musical performances on the museum’s stage.
The evening’s menu
First course: Kalix vendace roe with cucumber, pickle-poached kohlrabi, creamy dill and a horseradish sauce.
Main course: Duck stuffed with black trumpet mushrooms and lemon thyme, potatoes with caramelised garlic, spiced pickled golden beetroot and a roasted duck jus. Served with Savoy cabbage with smoked shiitake, baked onion and spruce oil.
Dessert: Raspberry mousse with chocolate cream and raspberry meringues.
Vegetarian options will be available. Select ticket and vegetarian option (Yes /No).
