When was the last time you explained a Nobel Prize to your friends? After this evening’s event, you will be able to shine. Welcome to an evening where we celebrate the 2024 scientific Nobel Prizes with a performance in two acts.

During act one, we will challenge representatives of the Nobel Committees that select the laureates to explain why the discoveries being rewarded this year are so important that they deserve the world’s finest prize. On stage will be members of the Nobel Committees in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine: Ulf Danielsson, Pernilla Wittung Stafshede and Anna Wedell. Moderating, asking and asking again ‒ to ensure that we understand ‒ will be Carin Klaesson and Gustav Källstrand from the Nobel Prize Museum.

After the break, Emma Knyckare and Scroll-Mia from the Swedish podcast Flashback Forever will take the stage. They have taken a deep dive on the internet to see what traces Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Prize laureates have left there. Then they will test the audience in a Nobel quiz inspired by anonymous online forums.

In Flashback Forever, Emma Knyckare and Scroll-Mia along with Ina Lundström search for answers to life’s big questions via the Flashback online forum. Their podcast has been named both Sweden’s Podcast of the Year and Humour Podcast of the Year.
