What comes to mind when you hear the word “economics”? Money, banks, maybe savings and stocks? Economics is about much more than that. For example, economic researchers study human behaviour, the environment, health, psychology and community building. Last year’s economic sciences prize dealt with the forces that affect women’s opportunities in the labour market. But what will be the focus of this year’s prize? Listen to members of the Economic Sciences Prize Committee explain what the 2024 prize is about.
Panellists will be Anna Seim, Deputy Governor of the Riksbank, and representatives from the Prize Committee. Olof Somell of the Nobel Prize Museum will moderate the discussion.
