Selecting a laureate in literature is not easy. The Nobel Prize Committee of the Swedish Academy chooses among the foremost writers of our age. Their choices are often surprising, sometimes controversial and always interesting.

This conversation provides a unique insight into how the members thought and reasoned when they read, discussed and finally agreed on who will be awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature. In addition, they will provide tips on how to get to know the works of the year’s laureate(s) in the best way. Selected texts will be read aloud by actor and director Isa Aouifia.

Participating will be members of the Swedish Academy’s Nobel Committee, whose identity is still secret. The conversation will be moderated by the Nobel Prize Museum’s Carin Klaesson.
