Time to meet your book club? What better way than to meet over afternoon tea right after this year’s Nobel Prize laureate(s) in literature have been announced?

Bring along your fellow readers to the Nobel Prize Museum on 10 October, when we will transform Bistro Nobel into a literary salon and serve afternoon tea. Celebrate and talk about literature, mingle with literature enthusiasts and make contacts with other book clubs.

Add a golden touch to your book club meeting with freshly baked scones with marmalade, lemon curd and whipped cream, two kinds of classic triangle sandwiches and a dessert to top it off. Of course, tea will be served, including the tea that is served at the Nobel Prize banquet, coffee for those who wish, and a glass of cava or non-alcoholic beverage.

Your table will be ready at 14:00 and will be reserved for you until 15:45. It will be up to you whether you discuss the latest book you’ve read or this year’s Nobel Prize laureates. Perhaps you will establish new contacts or exchange book recommendations.

If you wish, you can start the afternoon earlier: at 13:00, when the museum will live-stream the Swedish Academy’s announcement and an invited expert will comment on the Academy’s selection. This event will be held in Swedish, but also partly in English, and will be open to everyone in the museum.

The ticket price includes admission to the museum, the opportunity to follow the live-streamed announcement at 13:00, an afternoon tea package composed by Bistro Nobel exclusively for this occasion and a guided tour with a literature theme. As a guest, you will also receive discounts in our museum shop, which has a wide range of books.
