Amid steaming locomotives, pulsating water pipes and shimmering gas lamps, Stockholm began to be transformed. Maps, building permits and drawings of the city tell us in many ways about daily life with its changes and innovative developments.
Welcome to an afterwork (AW) event at the Stockholm City Archive (Stadsarkivet Liljeholmskajen) featuring conversations, live music and snacks. Lennart Ploom, director of the Stockholm City Archives, will converse with invited guests about the innovations that helped to redefine Nobel’s Stockholm in the 19th century, illustrated by contemporary building permits, maps and drawings from the Archives.
