With stories about an uptight butler, a naive AI robot or cloned teenagers, Nobel Prize laureate Kazuo Ishiguro’s books take us to other worlds where nothing is as it first seems.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hear author David Lagercrantz<\/strong> talk about Kazuo Ishiguro, and how Ishiguro’s novels help us see the reality with new eyes. In its citation, the Swedish Academy said Ishiguro’s novels \u2018have exposed the abyss beneath our apparent belonging in the world with powerful emotional impact\u2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What can you experience while reading? What does David Lagercrantz recognise in himself? And how do you write books that both shed light on eternal questions and also say something about our time? The conversation (in Swedish) is led by Gustav K\u00e4llstrand<\/strong> and recorded for the Nobel Prize Museum’s podcast <\/span>Id\u00e9er som f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrar v\u00e4rlden.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Author David Lagercrantz is one of Sweden’s most widely read authors. His biography <\/span>Jag \u00e4r Zlatan<\/span><\/i> (2011) was a reader and critical success and was nominated for the August Prize. In 2015, he took on Stieg Larsson’s mantle as author of the books in the Millennium series. Lagercrantz’s latest book <\/span>Post Mortem<\/span><\/i>, is the third part in his acclaimed crime series.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note that the museum bistro will be closed during the spring for renovation due to water damage. During this time there is limited seating in the museum. No restaurant service will be available while the bistro is closed. Please see our website for information on when the bistro opens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Book your tickets here<\/strong><\/a>. To buy a member ticket, a valid membership<\/strong><\/a> is required. Please show your membership card in the entrance. Purchased tickets are non-refundable. The ticket price also includes entrance to the museum\u2019s exhibitions, which are open until 21:00.<\/p>\n
