In <\/span>Snow and Rain Shall Pass<\/span><\/i>, photographer Karin Alfredsson portrays a wilderness that is disappearing because of global warming. She is interested in climate change and as a visual artist wants to contribute to engagement in environmental issues on an emotional level. Her photographs of landscapes, seas and lakes often show a barren and magnificent beauty.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
The exhibition also features her film <\/span>Arctic Ocean – A Journey to the North Pole<\/span><\/i>. The work touches on our smallness in the face of nature and is a result of her working as a field assistant on a research expedition on the the icebreaker Oden in 2018. In the cold on deck, she has filmed the ice masses, the sky as well as the movement of the ship and the sea. The film features sound and music by composer Sebastian \u00d6berg. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Alongside Alfredsson’s work, the exhibition will also include some extracts from poetry of Nobel Prize laureate Jon Fosse. Fosse was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2022. The texts in the exhibition have been selected in dialogue between Karin Alfredsson and Jon Fosse.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
