Are you a teacher interested in the promotion of democracy, science and human rights? At the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit teachers from all over the world meet Nobel laureates, top scientists, and peace activists around a theme of great importance in education. Apply to attend the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit in Stockholm, Sweden in March 2025.<\/p>\n

There are almost always alternatives. But when it comes to organising society, democracy is still the best option for ensuring the freedom and rights of people.<\/p>\n

The theme this year is \u201cThe Future of Democracy\u201d. How do we teach about democracy, trust, and critical thinking? What skills do young people need to become informed participants in shaping and safeguarding a democratic society?<\/p>\n

With support from the Swedish Institute (SI) – a public agency that builds interest and trust in Sweden around the world \u2013 we can now offer 20 teachers financial support to attend a four-day programme that centres around the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit.<\/p>\n

The Summit will take place on Friday, 28 March and the international participants are invited to an extended programme from Wednesday, 26 March to Saturday, 29 March.<\/p>\n

Teachers from the following countries are eligible to apply:<\/h4>\n

Africa: <\/strong>Tanzania, Zambia<\/p>\n

Asia: <\/strong>Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam<\/p>\n

Europe: <\/strong>Ukraine, Moldova<\/p>\n

Latin America: <\/strong>Colombia<\/p>\n

MENA: <\/strong>Egypt<\/p>\n

A welcome address and introduction at the Nobel Prize Museum, Stockholm.<\/p>\n

Meet and greet with representatives from the Swedish Institute (for SI-scholarship
\nrecipients only).<\/p>\n

Reception at Stockholm City Hall.<\/p>\n

8.30-18.30 The democracy mission in the Swedish schools.<\/p>\n

Introduction, school visits and workshop at Nobel Prize Museum.<\/p>\n

Friday, 28 March<\/strong><\/p>\n

8.30-16.30 Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2025 at M\u00fcnchenbryggeriet, Stockholm<\/p>\n

Saturday, 29 March<\/strong><\/p>\n

9:00-12:00 Workshop at the Nobel Prize Museum followed by a guided tour.<\/p>\n
