Experience a meeting between sound art and photography when Ba\u015fak G\u00fcnak<\/strong> performs in the exhibition <\/span>Snow and rain will pass<\/span><\/i> with photos by Swedish artist Karin Alfredsson.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sound artist and composer Ba\u015fak G\u00fcnak is internationally known as <\/span>Ah! Kosmos<\/strong> in the field of electronic music. G\u00fcnak composes soundscapes for theater, contemporary dance, film, visual art projects, and creates site-specific performances. Her works have been featured in art institutions, such as Berlin State Museums, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Royal Theater Carr\u00e9 and Kunstmuseum Basel.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She released three solo albums \u2013 <\/span>Bastards<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Beautiful Swamp<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Rewilding<\/span><\/i> as well as numerous EPs. In <\/span>Rewilding<\/span><\/i> (2024), she incorporates sounds gathered from her sound art and previous sound installations. <\/span>Rewilding<\/span><\/i> embodies the sounds of whistles, whispers, sine waves, murmurs, deconstructed South-Eastern Anatolian folk songs and the instruments: organ, bass clarinet and a broken piano.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss the opportunity to experience sound art inspired by nature and wilderness, surrounded by Karin Alfredssons photographs of wild and untouched nature. The exhibition also features Alfredsson\u2019s short film\u202f<\/span>Norra ishavet<\/span><\/i>, touching on our own smallness in the face of nature\u2019s might.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note that the museum\u2019s Bistro will be closed for renovation during spring 2025. When the bistro is closed, there is limited seating available in the museum and no catering is offered beyond the pre-booked packages offered on selected Friday evenings.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
