Learn more about science, mingle and enjoy a specially curated Friday menu.<\/p>\n<p>Science Today invites PhD students and postdocs from the Karolinska Institute (KI), Chalmers University of Technology, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm University (SU) and special guest Chalmers Institute of Technology to present their research on stage. The focus will be on power and energy &#8211; from nuclear power to the cell&#8217;s ability to generate energy.<\/p>\n<p>What do we know about the next generation of nuclear reactors? Are they efficient and safe enough in the event of an accident? Is there any way to prevent the body cells decline in generating energy, as we age? Learn more about this and much more at the seventh edition of Science Today, where we delve into alternatives for energy efficiency and ways to improve our health.<\/p>\n<h5>Participants:<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Elina Charatsidou<\/strong>, PhD candidate in Physics and Nuclear Engineering at KTH<br \/>\nSubject: Advanced Nuclear Fuel Research, Development &amp; Safety<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anastasia Rumyantseva<\/strong>, Postdoctoral researcher at Dr. Anna Wredenberg group at the Karolinska Institute<br \/>\nSubject: Mammalian heart at the crossroads of fuel switch<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mirna Alhanash<\/strong>, PhD in material physics at Chalmers University of Technology<br \/>\nSubject: Tight-binding modelling of deep eutectic solvent-based electrolytes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Itzamna Avila Ortega<\/strong>, Phd Candidate, Stockholm Resilience Center at Stockholm university<br \/>\nSubject: The economics of Planetary Boundaries<\/p>\n<p>Presentations and the conversation on stage will be held in English. The conversation is moderated by <strong>Olof Somell<\/strong> from the Nobel Prize Museum. The evening continues with music and mingle in Bistro Nobel, which has composed a <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.nobelprizemuseum.se\/en\/menus\/\">Friday menu<\/a> of appetizers and delicious drinks.<\/p>\n<p>The DJs are <strong>DJ NoMe<\/strong>, PhD in Media Technology and Interaction Design at KTH, and <strong>Cafeciaojoe<\/strong>, Industrial PostDoc at Bitcraze and KTH.
