A warm welcome to a poetic and musical evening marking the beginning of the spring season at the Nobel Prize Museum!

Inspired by Nobel Prize laureate Louise Glück’s poem Snowdrops, about the return of life after winter, we embark on a journey towards spring during this evening of poetry and music. Glück describes the feeling of waking up to life after a long winter:

“I did not expect to survive,

earth suppressing me. I didn’t expect

to waken again, to feel

in damp earth my body

able to respond again, remembering

after so long how to open again

in the cold light

of earliest spring”

Actors from the Royal Dramatic Theatre Maria Salomaa and Magnus Roosman will perform selected poems from Nobel Prize laureates such as Tomas Tranströmer, Wislawa Szymborska, and Jon Fosse. Throughout the evening, poetry will be mixed with atmospheric jazz by the duo Josie & Andy. Singer Josefin Staaf from Stockholm and jazz veteran Andy Fite from New York will interpret treasures from the history of jazz.

Welcome to try Bistro Nobel’s Friday menu with carefully selected small dishes, suitable wines, beers, cocktails, or non-alcoholic alternatives.
