As a musician, Giske not only uses his saxophone, his body is also an important tool. He plays through circular breathing, with a technique similar to the one used to play the didgeridoo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Guardian describes his music as hypnotic and inspired by jazz legend Albert Ayler. Instead of hiding the imperfect, the mistakes and the instrument’s own sounds, he amplifies them. His breathing and the sound of the keys being pressed, are amplified with sound effects and become part of the music and the live experience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Norwegian musician Giske lives in London and has previously lived in Bali and Copenhagen. He has released two albums; Surrender<\/a> (2019) and Cracks<\/a> (2021).<\/span><\/p>\n

The concert, which takes place in the museum’s Bistro Nobel, starts at 18:00 and lasts about an hour. During the evening, Bistro Nobel serves small dishes from its Friday menu<\/a> and\u00a0<\/span>offers cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic options. The bistro is open until 21:00. The ticket price also includes entrance to the museum’s exhibitions, which are also open until 21.00.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
