The conversation starts at 18:00 and is followed by a concert.

The author Anna-Karin Palm talks to the Nobel Prize Museum’s Carin Klaesson about Selma Lagerlöf’s rich and bustling authorship. It will be a conversation about success, integrity, and about new paths in an old world. After the conversation, the multiple award-winning musician Matti Bye plays a self-composed piece to selected sequences from the silent film Körkarlen.

With 25 years as a musician and composer Matti Bye is considered as one of the most experienced musical interpreters of silent films. Bye is active as solo pianist and ensemble musician and composes music for both television and film as well as other cross-genre artistic collaborations. Over the years, Matti Bye has received several awards and nominations – including the Nordic Film Prize Harpa, the Mårbacka Prize and two-time winner of the Swedish prize Guldbaggen.
