Everyone who has had a blood transfusion may thank Nobel Prize laureate Karl Landsteiner for a successful outcome. Before his discovery of blood types, it was a mystery why one person’s blood could be dangerous to another. But what is a blood type? What connection do they have to different diseases? And why is blood really so important? The blood researcher Gustaf Edgren tells in a conversation with Gustav Källstrand all about how the blood works. The conversation is recorded for the podcast Ideas that change the world.

The conversation is in Swedish and starts at 18:00. Before and after, you are welcome to visit the museum’s exhibitions and Bistro Nobel, which serves tasty dishes from a special Friday menu and drinks.
