By mixing classical and contemporary sound, composer and producer Mario Batkovic seeks to explore the sonic possibilities of his instruments. By combining various musical disciplines, he takes the accordion to new levels, crossing conventional borders with his experimental sound. Challenging and hypnotic; Batkovic’s symphonic vision is unique and he has received widespread critical acclaim, including Rolling Stone magazine who voted his self-titled debut album in the Top 10 Best Avant Albums of 2017.

His new album INTROSPECTIO is a self-questioning, self-examination of society and the meaning of sound. Featuring collaborations with names as drummer Clive Deamer (Radiohead/Portishead/Robert Plant/Roni Size), Batkovic questions the place of sound and prejudices, taking the listener on a journey through unique universe of sound.

From music festivals Le Guess Who (Netherlands), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland) and a performance at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg we are now happy to welcome Batkovic to Stockholm for an exclusive concert at the Nobel Prize Museum.
