The Nobel Week Lights festival will once again take place on the streets of Stockholm during this year’s Nobel Week. With inspiration from Nobel Prize-winning initiatives and individuals, fantastic lighting installations are created that light up in the December darkness.<\/p>\n
This year’s artists and lighting designers explore some of science’s greatest discoveries and create fantastic installations. With the help of unique ideas and technical skill, works are created that inspire, attract reflection and provide new perspectives on the city and the urban environment.<\/p>\n
The role of light becomes clearest in the dark. It shows the great response from last year’s festival visitors. During this year’s candlelight vigil, Stockholmers are invited to visit both well-known and lesser-known places for unique art experiences.<\/p>\n
Nobel Week Lights is initiated and produced by Annika Levin, Alexandra Manson and Lara Szabo Greisman from Troika. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Nobel Prize Museum and the City of Stockholm, with support from the Swedish Space Agency, Erling-Persson Foundation, Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, as well as a number of other partners and lighting companies.<\/p>\n
