Without great teachers, no new Nobel Laureates. Therefore, teachers and students are especially important to us.

Our investment in schools and teachers is based on the Nobel Prize and the vision to work for “the greatest benefit to humankind” which Alfred Nobel expressed in his will. Our educational programs will take advantage of the Nobel Prize’s ability of inspiring people to seek out knowledge, to question and to understand and improve our world.

Our school activities offer a broad range of school programmes for school classes at Nobel Prize Museum as well as teacher training and a teacher’s network, with the focus of boosting creativity, scientificity, subject specialization and much more to benefit the faculty. The focus is on strengthening teachers’ positions and encouraging exchanges between teachers from different cultures and countries.

Our global teachers’ network Nobel Prize Education Network has just begun to take shape is launched with the international teachers conference Nobel Prize Teacher Summit. The conference will be a yearly forum, where teachers from around the world annually gather around the discussion of a topical issue.

Nobel Prize Education Network will be the foundation for our various teacher-focused activities, both in terms of physical meetings and digital resources. The first resource on offer is the Nobel Prize Lesson, lesson material on the newly announced Nobel Prizes. They materials are published within 24 hours of the announcement of each new Nobel Prize. The Nobel Prize Education Network will grow gradually in close consultation with teachers, scientists and school experts. As a teacher, what do you want to receive from us in the future? Feel free to make suggestions and communicate your ideas to us.

Many Nobel Prize Laureates testify that a certain teacher challenged or encouraged them, and that the experience has been crucial to the choices they made in life. Through our educational efforts we want to assure many more student experience the feeling of a genuine aha-moment.
